WHAT IS A RCIC?

A RCIC is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and is governed by the ICCRC. Anyone offering immigration advice or consulting for a fee is required to be registered by the RCIC. You are also able to report misconducts by registered agents and to report fake agents. Before engaging a RCIC, please ensure to check the ICCRC site to confirm they are regulated to avoid disappointments.

CAN I WORK WHILE I STUDY?

International students are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours a week. Be careful that you do not go over the stipulated hours. Also keep in mind, that the money made from this would not be sufficient for your living expenses.

AM I GUARANTEED A JOB WHEN I ARRIVE IN CANADA?

There is no guarantee of a job upon arrival. You will need to integrate into the system. There are a lot of resources available for immigrants on arrival. Taking a quick course or a work immersion program is a good way to get the Canadian experience valued by employers.

I WOULD LIKE TO GET A JOB BEFORE I MOVE, HOW CAN YOU HELP?

For a company to hire a foreign worker, it needs to prove that it cannot find someone in Canada to do the job. This can be a long and tedious process and most companies shy away from it. DO I NEED TO HIRE A CONSULTANT OR AN AGENT?

No. You do not need one to apply.

However, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada allows authorized immigration representatives to assist candidates during all stages of the immigration process. If you are using a representative you should be sure they are authorized.
